If you love Japanese cooking, then you must love Harumi Kurihara!
Harumi Kurihara is the icon of Japanese family cooking.
She is Japan’s most popular cooking expert, has published over 130 cookbooks, and manages her own line of kitchenware goods as well as shops and cafes in Tokyo.
Harumi Kurihara is truly an inspiration for me. I have actually met her once before when I used to work for an Australian company in Tokyo, and she is every bit as sweet and personable as she comes across in her books and on TV.
I have bought all of her recipe books and I even gave her English recipe books (and Harumi’s gorgeous yellow kettle and leaf-shaped ginger grater) to my sisters in Australia for Christmas. My sisters love Harumi’s recipes as much as I do, as they are so easy to follow and taste delicious!
So I was SUPER excited to find that she is holding a cooking event this month to celebrate the 2 Year Anniversary of the opening of her shop/restaurant “Harumi’s” in Tokyo!
